Bone stock!
Gulf 93 Octane

At BrenTuning, we do not follow the basemap + tweak custom tune approach. We are constantly testing new tuning strategies based on changes to intake and exhaust cam timing for the 2008+ STi. Most tuners leave them alone and feel they are near optimized from the factory and boy were they wrong. Our latest and great tune is making stage 2 power with next to no parts on the newest 08+ STi without stressing out the car through the factory exhaust.

Below are the results of many mapped Mini Coopers we have done recently with great dyno results. Both the Mini Cooper S, JCW, and turbo versions can benefit greatly from a tune. Through correct mapping of fueling, advance, torque tables, DBW, limiters and boost mapping the Mini Cooper can really wake up and increase it’s low to midrange power extensively.

Mapping can be adjusted for larger turbos, injectors, methanol, and all bolt-ons etc. We are not a “canned” tune company. Also our files can be loaded onto DS flash handhelds for those who like to map switch or our not local to us. We have full access to custom tune JCW DME’s with no issues and read / write to all years while making live changes. Contact us today for the best for your Mini.

The car tested had a only Remus Muffler and was tested using CA91 pump gas on a Dyno Dynamics AWD Dyno. The power gains seen from tuning were very strong; +22wHp@5000rpm & +33wtq@3300rpm! As most of you know the lazy throttle mapping and torque management of Mercedes cars is geared towards casual driving and lack the spirit of a performance car. Through proper remapping of key engine parameters, the performance and overall driveability are much improved for a more enjoyable experience.

The car that was dynoed was a factory stock 2009 model, running CA91 pump gas. Expect even better gains on our 93 octane file.

Maximum gains were seen at 2250rpm with +36.2wHp & +45.3wTq.

Peak horsepower figures were:
Baseline Max: 267Hp vs Tuned Max: 291Hp.

Peak torque figures were:
Baseline Max: 276.1Tq vs Tuned Max: 309.2Tq

Here are the results from a recently dyno tuned BMW E90 328i. The results are from the “off the shelf” flash (no custom dyno). 93 octane and custom tuning (especially with modifications) can achieve greater numbers. Changes made to the ever elusive valvetronic system, torque management, fueling, timing, throttle response and top speed limiter removal make for a completely developed ecu tune that was tested across many models, all firmware and software updates. BrenTuning’s specific 93 octane file will create larger gains then seen due to octane adaptation and higher timing targets.

The gains were: +15wHp@5200rpm & +19.5wTq@4100rpm (power to the wheels) running 91 pump gas with no mods. Tuning is also supported for the Si H.O. intake manifold 330 swaps.

The test car had no preparation and comes in with lack of baseline maintenance completed and was present on 89 octane. The results are from the “off the shelf” flash (no custom dyno). 93 octane and custom tuning (especially with modifications) can achieve greater numbers. This flash is most definitely safer then the factory file in terms to knock correction and fuel mixture. Changes are made to the torque management, fueling, timing, vanos, throttle response and top speed limiter removal. BrenTuning’s 93 file will create larger gains due to octane adaptation. The gains were: +13wHp +11wtq (power to the wheels) throughout the whole powerband running 89 pump gas with no modifications – down to the factory paper filter and 90k original miles. Gains of 18whp and wtq are seen on 93 octane.

The results were very strong and demonstrate what the “off the shelf” tune is expected to yield without custom tuning. Gains of +50wHp@6600rpm & +49wTq@4100rpm were seen on a Dyno Dynamics 4×4 dyno running CA91 pump gas. Gains are made through proper tuning of the fuel, ignition, torque limits, and throttle maps. The testing procedure involves the ecu being made accessible under front passenger wheel well. This flash and a catback exhaust has run a best of 11.6@121. Larger gains are seen with long tube headers, filters, or exhaust/xpipe modifications. This configuration with headers has gone 11.1@125.

These results are from recent dyno testing of a 2010 Mercedes Benz C300 W204. The C300 has a 3.0L V6 Power plant that responds well to tuning. We have files for both the California and federal spec ECU’s. Tuning is done through the BDM procedure. Allow 2 hours for programming. The result from ECU tuning were +12wHp@5100rpm & +21wTq@3050rpm seen to the wheel on a Dyno Dynamics Dyno. The car had no modifications and was running CA91 pump gas. Drive-ability is increased along with sharpness of the throttle response, shift points, and low end torque. It makes full a complete re-map of the C300 driving experience.

If you are looking to turn your already incredible SUV into a supercar slayer look no further then an ECU Remap by BrenTuning. This file transforms the docile X5/X6 into a 4 wheel torque churning beast. Gains of +85whp and +100wtq are seen in the lower end of the powerband. Through proper remapping of the boost pressure, fuel, timing, and torque targets and throttle response the TT-V8 can produce incredible power in even stock form on 91 octane. 93 octane files can create slightly higher timing and boost targets. Tuning can be done through the ODB2 port in the vehicle on site. Email sales@brentuning.com for more information.
